NEW YEAR, LOWER TAXES
Families across North Carolina work hard every day to make ends meet, and we believe you should keep more of what you earn. That’s why the NC General Assembly cut the state income tax rate to 4.25%, effective this year in 2025. Lower taxes mean more opportunities for your family to thrive. It’s an honor and privilege to serve the great people of Onslow County for a third term in the NC Senate. North Carolina is a state of boundless opportunity, and Onslow County is at the heart of that promise. I’m ready to continue working alongside my colleagues to ensure we uphold the values that make this state exceptional — faith, family, and freedom.
2025-26 COMMITTEE APPOINTMENTS
These committee assignments reflect my dedication to building a stronger North Carolina by fostering a pro-business environment, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and addressing the needs of local communities. I look forward to working with my colleagues to craft policies that benefit Onslow County and the entire state.
APPLICATIONS OPEN: NC SENATE PAGE PROGRAM
I’m thrilled to share that applications are officially open for the 2025 Senate Page Program! This program offers high school students (10th, 11th, and 12th grade during the 2024-25 school year) the incredible chance to gain firsthand experience in the legislative process by serving in the NC Senate.
Each Senator can sponsor up to five pages, and weeks are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis — so you’ll want to apply as soon as possible.
Don’t miss out on this valuable opportunity to engage with our state’s legislative process and learn how laws are made. If you know a student who would shine in this program, encourage them to apply early.

ONSLOW COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE CITIZENS ACADEMY
Are you curious about how law enforcement keeps our communities safe? The Onslow County Sheriff’s Office Citizens Academy offers a unique, hands-on experience with local law enforcement, including ride-alongs, tours of the 911 Dispatch Center, and meetings with judicial officials.
